Golf

Golf resorts such as La Quinta and Los Arqueros belong to Benahavís, as does La Zagaleta with its 3 golf courses, an exclusive gated estate where some of the most expensive properties in Spain can be found.

Parque Torre Leoneras

On the south side of the village, contains the ruins of a medieval tower and a large lake.

Castillo de Montemayor

Built in the 10th century, it is now largely in ruins, but parts of the walls and the Queen’s Tower remain intact. The views from here of the Costa del Sol and Africa are magnificent.

Guadalmina river

Offers fantastic canyoning opportunities – making the route along the river via waterfalls and pools one of the most adventurous activities on the Costa del Sol. There is also a beautiful river walk that takes you over a spectacular bridge and along a traditional Moorish irrigation canal.
