Santuario de la Magdalena

Acueducto de los Cinco Ojos

Situated on the ravine of Los Ojos, from which it takes its name, the Acueducto de los Cinco Ojos was built between 1785 and 1789 by the Aspen architect José Gonzálvez de Coniedo as part of the canalisation works necessary to transport water from the Fuente de Barrenas, in Aspe, to Elche. It is the largest aqueduct on arches, with a length of almost 47 metres and a maximum height of 17.
