Alcazaba Málaga

The Alcazaba de Málaga is the former Moorish fortress and palace that lies on the slope of Mount Gibralfaro. The Alcazaba houses an archaeological museum and the remains of the former Moorish government palace can be visited. Cathedral of Malaga

In the center lies the Malaga Cathedral, which contains various architectural styles. The cathedral is also popularly called “La Manquita”, which means the ‘one-armed lady’. During the construction process of no less than 200 years, only one tower was completely finished.

Picasso museum

In the 16th century ‘Palacio de Buenavista’ in the historic Jewish center is the Picasso museum of Málaga with over 200 works by Spanish painter Pablo Picasso who was born in this Spanish city. The museum mainly houses works from his early and late painting period.

The ‘Castillo de Gibralfaro’ is the castle located on the 130 meter high Gibralfaro mountain. The 14th century castle with its striking defensive walls is located above the palaces and fortress of the Alcazaba and offers a magnificent panorama over Málaga center.
