There are many beautiful coastal towns on the Costa Blanca North and Finestrat is certainly one of them. Finestrat is a fashionable seaside resort with the super cozy Cala de Finestrat beach with clear blue water and a cozy boulevard with nice restaurants.

Cala Finestrat is a sandy beach, surrounded by hills, with warm and clear water. Despite the fact that it is only 3 km south of Benidorm, it is much less crowded, so that you can enjoy the beach during the day and in the evening you can choose between the quiet nights of Cala Finestrat or the vibrant life of Benidorm with its many bars and clubs.

Finestrat is divided into 3 districts: Sierra Cortina (the slightly more established part), Finestrat Hills with all kinds of new projects and Balcon de Finestrat (slightly higher up, giving you a wonderful sea view).

But Finestrat has much more to offer than just sun and sea. The town’s historic old town has the feel of a typical Spanish village, with narrow cobbled streets and pleasant squares.

Waterfalls of Algar

The Algar river flows into the Mediterranean Sea at Altea. On its way there, the river passes the lovely town of Callosa d’en Sarria, about 15km from Benidorm and about the same distance from Altea. It is here that the Algar River thunders down in magnificent waterfalls, cascading along rocks that form beautiful natural pools. Under the name ‘Les Fonts de l`Algar’, this entire area is a nature reserve and therefore protected.

Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada

Combining mountains and sea has never been easier. With cliffs of 300 metres and an area of over 5,600 hectares, Nature park Sierra Helada, the largest marine and land park in the Valencia Region, rises majestically from the Mediterranean Sea.

Along the various marked routes, you can get to know the hidden corners of the coves, the fauna and flora, visit the L’Albir lighthouse or enjoy the view from the Punta del Cavall. For the more adventurous, the Serra Gelada is perfect for a 4-hour trek along an 8 km route.

Terra Natura: Terra Natura is a 32-hectare nature park with more than 1,500 animal species, visible in their own habitat.

Aqua Natura: A 40,000 m² swimming paradise in Benidorm, designed for the whole family. For example, the landscape has been kept open so that parents can keep an eye on their children from the beach at all times. Play equipment and slides for all ages.

Aqualandia: Aqualandia is a 15-hectare swimming paradise with attractions for young and old. From innocent knee-deep children’s pools for the little ones to terrifying roller coasters for the die-hards. Terra Mitica: one of the best theme parks in Europe. Get to know ancient Egypt, Rome and the Iberian Peninsula in a playful way. See up close how life was then. And then relax in spectacular attractions, a whitewater ride, a 5D film show and nerve-wracking roller coasters.
