Albir

Albir belongs to the municipality of Alfaz del Pi on the Costa Blanca North in Spain. La Playa del Albir on the Costa Blanca North is a popular seaside resort, located between Benidorm and Altea.

The beautiful pebble beach is the center of many leisure activities. The beach is very accessible and a few kilometers away is a sandy beach, in addition you have a long promenade with a wide range of catering establishments.

The ‘natural’ highlight of Albir is the Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada. This protected nature reserve consists of rugged cliffs, pine trees and Mediterranean flora. It is a paradise for hikers and cyclists.

Albir Lighthouse

This very beautiful working lighthouse is located at the end of the Sierra Helada Natural Park, perched on a high rock overlooking the sea.

Built on 30th April 1863, the original approach was via a winding and often treacherous path close to the sea and only accessible by donkey or on foot. The lighthouse has since been improved by a good paved access (cars are not allowed).

Walking boulevard

Along the beach runs a long boulevard with numerous restaurants and shops.

Albir Garden Sports

Albir has one of the largest sports resorts in Spain with Albir Garden Sports. It is a professional, complete and quiet training location with all kinds of possibilities. Museo al Aire Libre Villa Romana

Interested in more history? Then pay a (free) visit to the open-air museum Museo al Aire Libre Villa Romana de l’Albir. Also called the Roman Villa of l’Albir. Here you will learn more about the ritual of bathing in hot springs that were built more than fifteen hundred years ago. Nowadays, excavations are still carried out annually, which means that the museum is constantly being expanded.
